Forty Pasadena residents came out to learn more about the planned widening and deepening of the Armand Bayou watershed at a public meeting hosted by Harris County Flood Control District. The residents learned about the specific channel widening planned for the area as well as hearing a brief overview of the history of the Harris County Flood Control District and its functions. The presenters then encouraged anyone with Harvey damages to stop by our informational table for more details.
After the presentation, each attendee was able to ask personalized questions to several subject matter experts with illustrated maps as a guide. We spoke with 20 residents giving them more information about the program and even helped one individual fill out a pre-app for assistance.
