Harris County Public Health teamed up all of its agencies and brought all of their resources together in one place as a mobile health village to serve the community at Tom Bass Community Center in south Harris County. Many different types of resources were on offer including vaccinations, nutritional education, and even a 3D virtual reality simulation!
Harris County Public Health invited Project Recovery to participate and share disaster recovery resources with the community. We were happy to share this information with the 60 people who stopped by our table and helped one woman fill out her pre-application for assistance. We look forward to being a part of the next scheduled Mobile Health Village event from 9 to 2 PM at the North Shore Rotary Pavilion at 14359 ½ Wallisville Rd on Saturday, November 9th.
